International Jury
An international jury, consisting of professional dancers/artists
from various backgrounds (aerial pole, circus artistry, stage dance,
variété and theatre), will be judging the individual aerial pole
performance of each dancer. The criteria will be personal
expression, costume, interpretation of the music as well as
acrobatics and dancing skills.

Nele is certified in dance pedagogics (Staatsexamen) and the current
holder of the Guinness World Record in „Inverted Pole Climbing“. As
the first pole dance and aerial pole instructor in Germany she has
popularised this dance concept as well as trained several Polebatics
instructors. She is travelling all over the world (New York, Sydney,
Hong Kong) to continually educate herself, to teach and to perform.

Elena Gibson:

Elena can look back onto a classical ballet education. She
danced at the National Ballet of Canada, at the Bavarian
State Opera House in Germany as well as in numerous other
theatre productions in North America and Europe. After a car
accident she discovered her passion for pole dance, which
she combines with the elegance of classical dancing, extreme
flexibility and acrobatics. Elena runs the Pole Dancing
School in London.

Eugene W. Rhodes III:

Eugene was born in New Jersey, USA, and completed his dance
education at the Ocean Center of Performing Arts, at the
LaGuardia High School, as well as at the Alvin Ailey
American Dance Center and the Juilliard School in New York
City. He was successfully on stage as a dancer in the ballet
at the Stadttheater in Berne and worked as a soloist for the
abcdancecompany at the Festspielhaus in St. Pölten. For some
years now he has been an independent dancer in productions
by various companies.

Sonia Arias Jiménez:

Sonia was born in Düsseldorf and completed her education as a
professional stage acrobat at the Zirkusschule für darstellende
Künste in Berlin where she specialised in the areas of Duo and Solo
in the subject trapeze artistry. With her duo trapeze show “Duo
Supanova” she was able to gain performance experience in the areas
of variété and gala.
